Part of their world! Beyoncé offered fans a glance at life with her and Jay-Z’s daughter Blue Ivy and twins, Rumi and Sir.
The singer, 39, published a four-minute Instagram video on Friday, January 1, that spotlighted moments from her 2020, from career records to sweet asides with her family. Rumi, 3, tripped to Beyoncé and Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage Remix” while riding in a golf buggy in one clip.
“How are you feeling about this summer? Did you have a pleasant summer?” the Queen B questioned her youngest daughter. “What have you been doing?”
Somewhere else in the video, the twins modeled with Beyoncé for her Ivy Park x Adidas collection, and Blue Ivy, 8, chanted “Brown Skin Girl,” for which she obtained a Grammy nomination in December.
“2020 divided us and united us. Most might not see loved ones and we felt too many losses, but we were consolidated by our humanity. This year for me has been about celebrating joy, pursuing happiness, and living in love,” Beyoncé subtitled the post. “As we all look forward and pray for new beginnings, my hope for you is that you esteem yourself and those you love. Commemorate that you are a valuable individual who contributes to our lovely collective. Here is to a better and brighter 2021!”
The former Destiny’s Child member divulged in her December 2020 British Vogue cover story that she has “definitely changed” during the coronavirus pandemic.
“I really treasure this time with my family, and my new objective is to retard and drop stressful things from my life,” she said. “I joined the music industry at 15 years old and expand with the world watching, and I have publish projects nonstop.”
Beyoncé indicated that her priorities changed. “I issued Lemonade during the Formation world tour, brought the twins into the world, played at Coachella, headed Homecoming, joined another world tour with Jay, then Black Is King, all back-to-back,” she explained. “It is been heavy and busy. I have spent a lot of time concentrating on building my bequest and serving my culture the best way I know how. Now, I have chose to give myself authorization to concentrate on my joy.”
